Novelty and Emotion in Misinformation Detection
摘要
The third chapter investigates how and why novelty and emotion are the key attributes for detection of misinformation and prevention of its spread. This chapter first introduces the fundamental concept of novelty and emotion. Later, it discusses the application of these two attributes for misinformation detection. At the end, it presents a deep learning- and machine learning-based architecture as a case study. This architecture uses representations of the news pair that are sensitive to emotion and novelty to identify false information. Comprehensive tests have also been carried out using four existing datasets. Thus, this chapter effectively covers the concept that extracting novelty and emotion features helps in misinformation detection.
