摘要
The purpose of this paper is to report on a project of designing a digital platform known as electronic Rural Farmer System (eRFarSys) that helped the Bushbuckridge’s small-scale farmers with data, information, and knowledge management. The literature review of similar design and development studies assisted in providing the idea of which components are necessary for the development of the eRFarSys. Prototyping and flowchart approach was used to design, develop, and test the eRFarSys. The platform’s sensor assisted in collecting the necessary data and help the farmers in controlling their irrigation process. The small-scale farmers welcomed the eRFarSys and contributed on how the systems could be enhanced. In conclusion, this paper shows how contribution of people who will use the digital platforms contributes positively in the digital living.
