The Pioneers

In this chapter, I will examine how Lucy Komisar’s activism, and the advocacy of members of the Students Help Project set the tone for vigorous student activism and protests at QC in the 1960s. I consider these activists pioneers because they were the first group of students to leave QC campus to the South for activist and social justice work aimed at confronting power.
