摘要

The process of Know Your Customer (KYC) is a critical aspect of banking operations as it helps to identify and verify the identity of customers and assess potential risks of financial crimes such as money laundering, terrorism financing, and fraud. However, the traditional KYC processes can be time-consuming and costly and often result in a poor customer experience. In this context, the use of a centralized information repository that stores customer data can streamline the KYC process for banks. Design thinking is a human-centered approach that can help to develop effective solutions by understanding the needs and expectations of users. This chapter proposes using design thinking to create a centralized information repository for KYC processes that meets the needs of both customers and banks. The chapter presents a step-by-step approach of using design thinking, including understanding the problem, defining the problem, ideating solutions, prototyping, and testing. The proposed solution can help banks to improve the efficiency and accuracy of KYC processes, reduce costs, and enhance customer experience. Additionally, the solution can facilitate compliance with regulatory requirements related to KYC. Overall, the chapter highlights the potential benefits of using design thinking to create a centralized information repository for KYC processes and encourages further research in this area.
