Distribution of Random Variables
摘要
In predicting the possible values of a rv X, given a probability space \((\Omega ,\mathcal {F},\mathsf {P})\) , neither \(\Omega \) nor X are given explicitly, instead we need to know \(\mathsf {P}(X \in B)\) for suitable subsets \(B \subset \mathbb {R},\) called the probability lawProbabilitylaw of X, or simply the law, also written \(\mathsf {P}_X(B)\) , and the choice \(B=(-\infty ,x]\) suffices to compute it.
