Determination of the Components of Sustainable Management for Energy Enterprises
摘要
The modern agenda in the field of environmental protection and sustainable development forces changes to be made in the long-term development of the energy industry. In addition to ensuring uninterrupted access to energy and meeting the growing demand for it, energy companies must simultaneously reduce the negative environmental impact and increase resource efficiency. In order of achieving that goal, it is necessary to carry out large-scale eco-modernization, in particular, traditional energy facilities, invest in the development of environmental technologies and increase the pace of introduction of renewable energy facilities into the global energy infrastructure. All this requires new approaches to the management of energy enterprises, which will correspond to the current economic and environmental agenda and to the concept of sustainable development. Sustainable management is one of the most promising approaches to the management of energy enterprises in the upcoming decades. The purpose of this study is to identify the key components of sustainable management for energy enterprises that consider three aspects of sustainable development (social, economic and environmental) and the specifics of the industry. The authors analysed energy sectors’ specifics, identified the key principles of sustainable management and formed a list of the most significant components and tools of sustainable management for energy enterprises.
