Moroccan Smart Grid’s Projection: Resource-Allocation Problem

Morocco is carrying out an ambitious strategy in energy sector by getting involved in projects aimed to raise the share of clean energy by 2030. In this study, we aim to meet this national map, and increase the use of green energy by developing a model that can optimally assign the national energy resources to the potential energy consumers within a national smart grid framework. We will propose a formalism of the Moroccan resources allocation problem by using binary integer programming approach. And we will solve this latest by presenting an algorithm that optimizes the use of green energy based on Brunch and Bound optimization, to meet the 2023 national objective, and increase the use of green energy, despite of all the climatic and socio-economic challenges facing its implementation. Since the Smart Grids do not exist in Morocco yet, our study is a part of the national renewable energy project.
