摘要

Continuous patient monitoring during long-term rehabilitation therapy imposes an excessive burden on physiotherapists and medical personnel and incurs high costs for patients. In response to such obstacles, developing effective, low-cost, and user-friendly outpatient or home rehabilitation monitoring systems is essential. This review seeks to develop and investigate innovative mobile devices and new technology applications in medical rehabilitation. This article investigates how mobile devices such as tablets and smartphones are utilised in recovery. This article is novel due to the accelerated evolution of mobile devices in recent years, which has created new opportunities to address various health issues. Integrating devices has many advantages, such as the accelerometer and gyroscope integrated into smartphones and tablets for obtaining the most accurate shoulder measurements. The use of mobile devices in the rehabilitation of various pathologies gives several advantages to the rehabilitation process. These benefits include the personalisation of exercises, the monitoring of progress, and telemedicine. This technology has the potential to make a substantial contribution to enhancing the overall quality of life for patients, provided medical experts carefully monitor it.
