摘要

The evaluation of medical practices is a very topical subject for doctors and patients, managers of public or private hospitals, but also for the academic environment and for the whole society. Objectives of this paper consist in selection of innovative methods for the evaluation of orthopedics-traumatology medical practices and their validation in practice. In the methodological part we have selected the 9 indicators for evaluation of medical practices embedded in the Health-Sustainability framework compatible with national and international requirements in the medical field. Then we customized these indicators for the specifics of the Orthopedics-Traumatology Department. For evaluation we have used the values of a couple of information composed of the indicator significance and the indicator degree of fulfillment. Both categories of information are classified by numerical values from 0 to 5. Validation in practice of the new evaluation method was done at the Orthopedics-Traumatology Department of the Targu Mures County Emergency Clinical Hospital. Results of the evaluation reveal higher values of the ImplementA31 − Continuous training of medical personnel, ReviewB3 − Medical organization supported by Six Sima and Lean indicators, while the PlanA3 − Professional development and change, EvaluateA3 − Improving the medical record indicators have lower values. The evaluation was extremely useful for improving the basic medical practices in orthopedics and traumatology: preoperative planning, surgical maneuvers, medical recovery, and medical robotics.
