Environmental Management System - Case Study on Citizens’ Perception of Pollution at the Level of Mureș County

This article presents a case study on the implementation of an environmental management system (EMS) in Mureș County, with a focus on the perception of pollution by citizens. The study investigates the effectiveness of the EMS in addressing environmental issues and its impact on the local community’s attitudes towards pollution. The research is based on a combination of qualitative and quantitative methods, including surveys and interviews with residents, stakeholders, and local authorities. The findings suggest that the EMS has had a positive effect on the reduction of pollution levels and improved citizens’ perceptions of environmental protection. However, challenges remain in terms of increasing public awareness and participation in environmental management initiatives. The article concludes by highlighting the importance of effective communication and collaboration among stakeholders in achieving sustainable environmental management practices.
