The Transition of the Moroccan University to a Digital and Intelligent University: An Overview

The development of digital technology has fundamentally transformed all areas. Indeed, the higher education sector has also been affected by this digital transformation where strong innovations in all university activities were seen, and continue to emerge through the use of various digital resources. Several factors triggered this change and they were accelerated with the COVID-19 pandemic. Besides, the development of intelligent universities. Morocco is now facing a need to digitise higher education, and open the door to digital transformation, by integrating new technologies to improve all academic activities, but also develop programmes and projects, in order to respond more effectively to the new imperatives brought about by the digital revolution. It appears essential for all actors in the field of higher education to develop a strong strategy and to move towards an agile and intelligent university model. This research work is a study of the different digital strategies adopted by some Moroccan universities. The result of this study shows how these universities have used digital technology to ensure their educational continuity and the quality of their governance, through the development of different systems based on intelligence processes in order to support research and strengthen cooperation university, and the use of MOOCs and E-learning platforms to improve the quality of university.
