Constructive Solution and Mounting Technology for Two Pedestrian Walkways Over the Someș River
摘要
The paper presents some aspects related to the calculation of a composite steel-concrete deck, regarding the structural resistance and the dynamic behavior. This deck is used for two pedestrian bridges with a span of 31.5 m which were constructed over the Someşul Mic River, in Cluj-Napoca. In this paper are presented some aspects related to the structural resistance design, the dynamic behavior of the structure correlated with the walking comfort of pedestrians, respectively the risk of resonance of the structure and the achievement of critical values of accelerations. Also, the effect of the creep, shrinkage and the stresses induced by the vertical component of the temperature are briefly presented. There is also presented a comparative analysis regarding three variants related to the installation technology of the bridge superstructure, which were considered in the design phase of the deck. After the implementation of The Revitalization and Activation of the Railway Park in Cluj-Napoca project, two pedestrian walkways with a similar superstructure will be included in the park. These walkways, which cross the Someş River, fall into Category III: Footbridges for normal use, occasionally crossed by large groups of pedestrians, based on the pedestrian design traffic density. Anticipating potential changes in walking people density in the future, the analysis of the footbridge was made considering a higher pedestrian density, ensuring that in the future no additional structural works will be necessary, except for routine maintenance.
