Chlorinated Organic Compounds in Mollusks Soft Tissue from Vostok Bay (The Sea of Japan)
摘要
This study presents current data on the levels of persistent organic pollutants (POPs) in Mytilidae mollusks’ soft tissues from Vostok Bay (the Sea of Japan). The highest concentrations of OCPs are typical for Litovka Bay, where the Litovka River flows in, carrying runoff from the continental part of Primorsky Krai. The maximum levels of PCBs were found in mussels from Sredniaya Cove, where Ship Repair Plant enterprise was previously operated. It is necessary to expand and consolidate existing monitoring using mussels.
