Coastal Protection System on the Barrier Form of the Lagoon (North-East of Sakhalin)
摘要
Prediction of the vulnerability of sandy seashores to storm spills is very relevant, especially in connection with a possible increase in relative sea level caused by tectonics and climate change. The morpholithodynamic justification of the bank protection system makes it possible to transfer it to the category of nature-like ones and reduce the estimated cost by tens of times. For Holocene barrier-shaped bay-bars, when identifying vulnerable areas even on a “homogeneous” shore, the erosion index can be used, which, as the presented results show, has sufficient sensitivity. The experience of forming a beach in the area of erosion by restructuring the system of megafestoon distribution of beach sediments seems valuable and interesting.
