Some Problems of Well Stability in Reservoirs of Underground Gas Storages

Issues related to the influence of the stress state on the stability of wells in underground gas storages (UGS) are considered. It is demonstrated that the main factor influencing the redistribution of the stress state in the vicinity of wells is the change in reservoir pressure in the pumping-injection cycles, with the most dangerous phase being the maximum pumping. The influence of unequal components of the initial stress state is also considered.
