Mastering Transformation and Digital Dividends
摘要
A key message of research, including the World Bank’s, is that maximizing digital dividends and closing the digital divide require a better understanding of how technology interacts with other elements of development—that is the “analog complements.” Countries need to strengthen regulations that allow firms to connect and compete; develop skills that technology augments rather than replaces; and build institutions that are capable and accountable. The author draws on this research and his own to underline the key challenges to realizing the digital dividends, and the growing transformational possibilities for developing economies. He then draws lessons on mastering digital transformation as a learning process and as a vibrant innovation ecosystem.
