Dual-Band THz Absorption Based Refractive Index Sensor for Bio-Sensing

A dual-band absorber is implemented for terahertz (THz) applications. The absorber provides the dual narrow bands which can be utilized for the refractive index sensing. The absorber provides the resonance peaks at 1.03 and 1.49 THz with the absorption of more than 95% at the peak frequency. The absorber provides the ultra-narrow Full-width-half-maxima of 0.04225 and 0.0541 THz with maximum sensitivity of 48 and 108 GHz/RIU in the lower and upper band, respectively which makes it suitable to be utilized in the application of THz bio-sensing.
