Apnea Controlled CPAP for Obstructuve Sleep Patient
摘要
In modern medicine, treatment and diagnosis are focused on improving early detection. Sleep-disordered breathing and other upper respiratory ailments are frequently accompanied by snoring, and it’s a very common symptom. These symptoms may lead to Obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) which is caused by the blockages of the airway and features a range of symptoms, including snoring, episodes of oxygen desaturation, and arousals from sleep. The Obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) may cause insomnia which makes the person to get difficulty in sleeping and hypersomnia which cause in excessive daytime sleeping time. The main objective of the system is to detect Apnea during sleep as it may cause damage to the body organs. The shortness of breath can be detected by this system which manipulates the breathing pattern of the person and ensures that whether apnea is incorporated. This can be achieved by using suitable low pressure differential sensors which gives values on the inhalation and exhalation process. Compatible software platform can be used to process the output gained from the sensor which in turn activates the CPAP device as per the needs. This helps the soft muscle around the throat region to keep open so the patient can breathe easily. The proposed solution can be worked with patients of old age, children, lung affected and persons with respiratory issues. The system can also be connected via IOT to transmit the data to patient’s family or the healthcare center so that the manual assistance can be provided to the patient when needed.
