CT and MR Features of Echinococcosis
摘要
Although the incidence rate of echinococcosis has decreased with the improvement of living standards, echinococcosis is still a common and frequently occurring disease in pastoral areas. Different parts of the disease cause different harm to the human body. Early diagnosis and surgical treatment are of great significance to improve the survival of patients. We retrospectively analyzed the CT and MRI features of 15 cases of hydatid disease confirmed by surgery and pathological examination. Among the 15 patients, there were 10 cases of cystic echinococcosis and 6 cases of alveolar echinococcosis, including 6 cases of hepatic cystic echinococcosis, 2 cases of hepatic alveolar echinococcosis, 1 case of cerebral alveolar echinococcosis, 1 case of bone cystic echinococcosis, 1 case of bone alveolar echinococcosis, 1 case of neck cystic echinococcosis, 1 case of adrenal alveolar echinococcosis, 1 case of intraspinal cystic echinococcosis, and 1 case of mediastinal alveolar echinococcosis. The diagnosis of echinococcosis occurring outside the liver is relatively difficult; here is a summary of CT and MRI findings of different types of hydatid diseases at different sites of onset.
