Introduction

Fusion systems offer a way to isolate the p-local methods used in various facets of finite group theory, modular representation theory and homotopy theory, and coerce them into a more unified theory. In this text, using group amalgams, we determine all fusion systems which satisfy a particular minimality condition, distinct from those minimality conditions already examined in the literature.
