Conclusion: Read Sombart

This chapter is a very brief conclusion. The book began with the question of why one should read Sombart’s writings on modern capitalism. While there have been criticisms regarding Sombart’s later interest in Nazism and some complaints about his alleged “scatter shot” approach to the origins of capitalism, there are more than sufficient reasons why one should “read Sombart.”
