“Why Read Sombart?”

This chapter has three sections. The first section raises the question “Why read Sombart?” The section is a brief account of Sombart’s life and a sketch of his academic appointments and work. The third section is an overview of Chapters  2 , 3 , 4 , and 5 . It concludes with a mention of the concluding comments found in Chapter  6 .
