Test reservoir modeling in Bavarian molasse basin

This chapter takes the ideas and concepts developed in the books [34, 54] and briefly recapitulated earlier in this work about gravimetric and/or magnetometric multiscale mollifier approximation. The approaches are realized numerically in an (application-oriented) wavelet as well as spline wavelet model. As a geologically relevant test example, a real dataset from the Bavarian Mollasse basin from 2012 is used, which was generated in the course of the construction of the geothermal power plant Traunreut.
