A Bibliometric Analysis of Cash Holding’s Determinants Factor

In managing cash holding, several determinant factors were found. There are so many scientific publications that identify the determinants of cash holding from various countries. However, as far as the authors search, publications that focus on mapping the outline of the determinants of cash holding do not yet exist. Therefore, the purpose of this research is to discover the current trend of cash holding research publications, find the most common determinants of cash holding among current scientific publications and find out which cash holding determinants need more attention from researchers. This research is quantitative descriptive with bibliometric. The population used are 229 from Scopus database, with the research sample is 100 selected metadata. Data collection using documentation techniques from the Scopus database, then data analysis techniques using VOSviewer software. The period that used is within 2017–2022 from the search result in Scopus database according to the keywords set by the researchers “Cash Holding” and “Factor Determinant”. This research will map comprehensively the determinants of cash holding. This study presented there is growth in the number of publications from 2020, the highest publishers of scientific publications were developed countries. The topic that is often arise is Corporate Governance. Future researchers are expected to be able to discuss in more detail about corporate liquidity. This study’s contribution is to provide a thorough assessment of the growth of the field of cash holdings research using a sizeable archival database. It highlights the existing collaborative progress and possible chances for future work directions on cash holdings relationship with payout policy, corporate social responsibility, and corporate governance. Academics, professionals, and educators in related business and financial sectors can make use of the article’s findings.
