Archaeological Tourism Perspectives for Oliveira De Azeméis (PT)
摘要
In a small territory heavily marked by an industrial identity, based on components for the automotive industry and the footwear sector, can heritage and archeology lead to a sustainable development of cultural tourism? This is a question shared with many other regions, not only in southwestern Europe. While focusing on a case study, this paper seeks to address wider concerns about the public use of local cultural resources requiring long-term commitment and continued allocation of public monies. Enhancement of supply may lead to changes in demand and ultimately prompt induced effects on the local economy.
