摘要
Information Communication Technology (ICT) plays a vital role in shaping the quality of university education in Gulf universities. This literature review explores the influence of ICT on university education in the Gulf region, highlighting its benefits, challenges, and future trends. The benefits of ICT in university education include improved access to educational resources, enhanced communication and collaboration, personalized learning experiences, and increased student engagement. However, the adoption and implementation of ICT also present challenges such as infrastructure readiness, faculty training, digital divide, and data privacy concerns. Looking ahead, emerging trends in ICT offer opportunities to further enhance university education. These trends include mobile learning, artificial intelligence, virtual and augmented reality, open educational resources, and data privacy and ethics. To harness the benefits of ICT and address its challenges, Gulf universities must focus on developing robust infrastructure, investing in faculty professional development, ensuring equitable access to digital resources, and establishing clear policies and guidelines. Collaboration among universities, industry, and government entities is crucial in sharing best practices and resources.
