Factors Influencing Accounting Students’ Career Choice at the Universities in Bahrain

This research aims to analyze the factors influencing accounting students’ career choices in both public and private universities in Bahrain. The focus of this study includes self-motivation, benefits and rewards, and third-party effects, examining their impact on career decisions. The findings derived from the literature review indicate that self-motivation, benefits, and rewards, as well as third-party effects, significantly influence students’ career choices positively. These findings contribute to a better comprehension of the career preferences among accounting students, shedding light on strategies that can attract and retain talented individuals in the accounting profession. Additionally, it offers insights into how to mitigate decision-making confusion, thereby enhancing satisfaction with the chosen career path. The data for this study was collected through a literature review encompassing various related research. This paper may serve as a resource for enhancing understanding on improving the career trajectory of accounting students.
