Nanoparticles and Their Prospective Solicitations in Veterinary Medicine

Nanotechnology is a rapidly expanding technology that significantly impacts numerous therapeutic application domains. In 1959, Nobel winner Richard Feynman of the United States first suggested the notion of nanotechnology. In contrast, the concept of definition and popularisation was investigated significantly in the 1980s. There are currently thousands of nanomaterials classified based on their shape, origin, or application. It is capable of resolving multiple animal health and productivity issues. Nanomaterials have received much attention due to their excellent electrical, optical, magnetic, and catalytic properties and their potential applications. A new age in medicine was ushered in when they were used to cure cancer and to correct genetic defects in patients. Nanotechnology has recently found its way into the veterinary industry, with variety of applications. Nano systems consist of liposomes, metallic nanoparticles, polymeric micelles, polymeric nanospheres, functionalized fullerenes, carbon nanotubes, dendrimers, polymer-coated nanocrystals, and nano shells. Additionally, nanotechnology was used to make pet care and hygiene products. Nano mineral production has a variety of advantages for the animal feed industry. They are less expensive, require fewer doses, and help with development and immune stimulation. Nano minerals can also help with pathogen control in feed and the regulation of rumen fermentation. Veterinary nanotechnology has enormous potential to improve diagnosis and treatment while also introducing new tools into the field. This review discusses the classification of nanoparticles, recent developments in the field, the properties of nanoparticles, their synthesis and characterization, and applications of nanotechnology in veterinary medicine and the use of nanoparticles in animal nutrition.
