Re-enacting the Past: Open Mobile Technologies for Artistic Recreation – The Case of the Vlatadon Monastery

The substrate of this paper is based on the technological imperative to procreate and disseminate dynamic content about cultural institutions of Thessaloniki and portable exhibits associated with them. Mobile and portable devices of various latent capacities alongside remote-controlled equipment, like drones, were extensively used to implement dynamic web platform and similar systems aiming to provide a multi-purpose featured starting point for the VR effective guidance in the websphere. Tourists, scholars in the humanities or even researchers of particular branches, like paleography, art-directing, architecture – to name a few- treat themselves in presentation with multimedia material of information regarding the contemporary whereabouts and the historical analyses over quite long developmental periods.
