摘要

Due to the excellent advantages of brushless direct current (BLDC) motor, such as high efficiency, long life and quiet operation, it is used in many industrial applications and variable speed electric drives and precisely in electric cars because it offers higher efficiency and responds dynamically, reliably and without maintenance. Using conventional control strategies for brushless DC (BLDC) electric motor reduces efficiency and results in unwanted torque ripple, vibration, and acoustic noise, the purpose of which is to use controls known by their performance, In this work, we will discuss in detail the BLDC motor with its operating modes and its known types, and we will use the direct torque control (DTC) and the flux oriented vector control (FOC), we will compare their performance in transient and steady state, to know which type gives the best dynamic torque response in terms of settling time, and which control reduces the rate of torque ripples.
