RPV at the Group Level: Evidence from Survey Data

In the previous chapter, retrospective pledge voting (RPV) has been studied at the aggregate level by analysing the impact of a government party’s overall pledge performance on its electoral outcome. This chapter goes one step further and investigates “egocentric, group-specific RPV”, that is, voting decisions of individuals who belong to certain groups.
