摘要

Buildings are significant contributors to greenhouse gas emissions because of their energy consumption, construction materials, and operational practices. However, they also hold immense potential to conquer these matters through the basis of the circular economy. Many research studies often emphasis isolated elements such as material reuse, energy efficiency or design strategies, without taking into account the complex interconnections between these elements within the broader construction ecosystem. In order to deliver projects that incorporates circular economy practices, it is crucial to adopt a whole approach that enables collaboration among stakeholders throughout the building's lifecycle. This research aims to address this matter by developing an integrated Circular Economy (CE) model for buildings while incorporating Integrated Project Delivery (IPD) principles. In this research, we employ a mixed-methods approach consisting of a literature review, a qualitative and a quantitative studies and a case study, to gain empirical insights into the interactions between IPD and CE. This paper presents the first milestone of this research; it provides an overview on the current state of research on integrated circular economy in the construction sector. This research contributes to the theoretical understanding of the subject, and aims to provide actionable insights to drive the way toward a more sustainable built environment.
