Endocrine Disorders
摘要
Patients with endocrine disorders often receive their underlying diagnoses in childhood yet require careful medical attention throughout their lifetimes to prevent disease complications. For many of these conditions, specific counseling and treatment may be necessary during preconception planning and throughout pregnancy. This chapter highlights key aspects of management for several common chronic conditions that share concerns related to young adulthood including congenital adrenal hyperplasia, Turner syndrome, thyroid dysfunction, and polycystic ovary syndrome.
