Influential Factors in Academic Satisfaction Mediated by the Usability of the LMS in University Students
摘要
The objective of the research was to determine which factors influence academic satisfaction in university students mediated by usability, using personalization, communication, collaboration, ease of use, and navigation as predictor variables. As a mediating variable, the usability of the LMS and the dependent variable is academic satisfaction. The methodology employed corresponds to a non-experimental research design: a sample of 384 students in southern Peru are administered an electronic questionnaire (n = 24; α = 0.950 ω = 0.950) using reliability and validity tests, factor analysis, and structural equation modelling. It is concluded that the LMS’s usability is essential for students’ academic satisfaction. Although factors such as ease of use, navigation, and customization improve the system’s usability, surprisingly, they do not show a direct connection with academic satisfaction. This underscores the importance of prioritizing usability in LMSs but also suggests that academic success results from multiple interconnected factors.
