Inventory and Supply Chain

In this chapter, we explain intelligent business applications in the inventory and supply chain line of business (LoB) and how customers can benefit from this functionality. We provide a brief overview of the use case requirements, the business processes involved, and how they’re addressed. The inventory and supply chain LoB is huge, with a lot of potential to automate and fine-tune the processes. The focus of the chapter is on stock in transit, demand-driven replenishment, defect code proposal, early detection of slow, and nonmoving stock. For these use cases, the concepts and frameworks explained in this elaboration were applied, which proves the real-world feasibility of those new inventions.
