Gendered Lens to Climate Action

Gendered lens to climate action describes the need to examine impact of climate change from the perspective of women to address vulnerability by climate actions that are beneficial to the needs of women in the society. This chapter is an attempt to highlight intersectionality in the context of changing climate and represent the vulnerabilities faced by different sections of women in the Indian Sundarbans region. It also emphasizes the fact that by empowering women and involving them in climate policies, there will be more effective, efficient mitigation and adaptation outcomes.
