Determining Learners’ Behavioral Patterns in a Technology and Analytics Enhanced Assessment Environment
摘要
Learners need to monitor themselves in digitally supported learning environments to reflect on their strengths and weaknesses and move towards autonomous learning. A technology and analytics-enhanced assessment environment that allows students to assess themselves was implemented and evaluated as part of this research. Based on N = 108 students’ individual characteristics, system interactions, lecture performances, accomplishment motivation, confidence, and study interest, behavioral patterns were identified to assess how well they could use the assessment environment. The results show several behavioral engagements with the assessment system and system usage. The findings of this design-based research study offer suggestions for improving such assessment systems during later stages of implementation. In addition to this, the findings were discussed in the context of assessment analytics and assessment design.
