Introduction to the Emergence of Money and the Formation of Worldviews

The chapters in this section examine whether or not, and if so how, people outside of Greco-European-Christian cultural traditions have used and thought about money in both practical and theoretical (philosophical) ways. In so doing, they introduce us to a rich diversity of practices and ways of thinking that has the potential to expose the unstated assumptions of our own practices and philosophical reflections regarding money.
