Conclusion

In the conclusion of this book, I overview the main theoretical takeaways for memory scholars. These are fourfold: the importance of studying the entanglement of memory and morality, interscalarity and memory studies’ ‘fourth phase’, the study of memory policy as process and the shifting moral and mnemonic meanings in European memory policy.
