Exploring Traditional and Tech-Based Toddler Education: A Comparative Study and VR Game Design for Enhanced Learning

The educational landscape of early childhood education is going through a huge change as a result of the quick development of technology, particularly the appearance of interactive virtual reality (VR) learning games. It is critical to consider how these advancements have affected the education of our youngest learners as technology continues to transform our daily lives. This research aims to explore the intersection of traditional and tech-based toddler education, focusing on the design and effectiveness of interactive VR learning games. In order to thoroughly examine the educational impact of interactive VR learning games on toddlers, this research employs a mixed-methods approach. The approach is intended to give a comprehensive knowledge of how these instruments affect early childhood education. First, this paper examines how traditional books and videos affect toddlers’ learning and demonstrates how interactive learning is preferred by toddlers. Second, it focuses on the value of interaction in immersive VR environments and the potency of persuasion in educational games. Lastly, an interactive VR-based game, “Chilly MO”, has been designed with developmental requirements, engagement, user-friendliness, educational objectives, safety, cooperation, and direction into account. The goal of this game is to encourage toddlers to have an active participation, with nurturing the growth of their cognitive, social, and emotional skills by discovering a fascinating new place, and going on an adventure with their peers.
