Sampling and Integral Sums

For systems ruled by differential equations, the underlying time was that Newtonian time that flows continuously and uniformly and can take values along the entire line of real numbers: between any two instants there is an infinite number of time points, and the variables considered have a certain value at a certain instant or infinitesimally short duration.
