Leveraging Transients and Material Properties to Improve Machining Material Removal
摘要
Machining processes are highly transient, particularly those with variable chip loads such as high efficiency milling. Traditional metal cutting theory and experimentation do not provide the necessary insight to fully leverage the thermal transients experienced during machining. This essay explores how to leverage these transients using machining modeling to design better machining programs.
