Policy Dialogue Approach for Improving the Existing Policy Framework Regarding the Reduction of Carbon Emissions

Existing gaps in public policies related to the economy with low carbon emissions present an increased interest for analysis at the present time. There are still citizens and countries who are not familiar with this significant problem, but at the same time authorities and researchers are trying to raise awareness among the population and offer support to improve the current legislative framework. This paper presents the analysis of the application of a questionnaire that aims to determine the specific characteristics of strategic planning regarding the reduction of carbon emissions. Based on the answers received from the selected target group, the analysis is performed within a public policy dialogue approach between various sectors and economies. The questions devised and applied to the participants refer to basic and advanced aspects, thus tracking the level of knowledge at which each individual person is. Managing the current situation in which carbon emissions are high, makes this difficult and requires a close involvement and collaboration between the private and public sectors, to improve the legislation in some countries on this subject.
