JSP-LOC: Schema for Developing Datasets and ML Prognostic Algorithm to Prevent Adversarial Attack in Satellite Laser Communication
摘要
Satellite communication and on-time secure notifications of data are essential for many critical operations. Vulnerability to cyber-attacks, such as spoofing and jamming, has always been a concern for communications systems. Laser optical communication gained attention recently for use with satellites to try to make it more challenging for adversaries to carry out cyber-attacks without detection. However, it has been observed that many satellite optical communication systems and networks are vulnerable to cyber attacks including jamming and spoofing. In this work, we discuss current challenges in analyzing laser communication and describe Jamming and Spoofing Prediction in Laser Optical Communication (JSP-LOC) schemas. JSP-LOC will allow for data collection and include a machine learning based analysis framework to better understand the behavior of laser optical communication when under attack (i.e. jamming and spoofing). The proposed data set can be used for the generation of risk prediction alerts for system operators for rapid recognition measures.
