This chapter focuses on clinical presentation, diagnosis, and management strategies of perineal, genital, and anal skin disorders, with a focus on older adults. Common inflammatory conditions, infectious diseases, and neoplastic processes are discussed. While these disorders are prevalent in all adult age groups, they often present with distinct symptoms and clinical features in older people. Age-related factors and best practices are emphasized to support accurate diagnosis and effective treatment in this population. Unique challenges in managing these conditions in the geriatric population include altered skin physiology, multiple comorbidities, polypharmacy, atypical presentations, and immune system decline, all of which require a tailored and sensitive approach to care. Additionally, the intimate nature of the affected areas may lead to delay in seeking medical attention. This chapter aims to equip healthcare providers with the essential knowledge and practical tools needed to improve the recognition, treatment, and overall outcomes of the disorders in geriatric patients.
