Will Metaverse Bridge the Gap Between Authentic Education and Virtual Education?

This study aimed at investigating the capacity of virtual augmented reality technique (Metaverse) in bridging the gap between authentic and virtual education by shedding light on the advantages and disadvantages of Metaverse in the educational process. To achieve the study objectives, the researcher used the library search approach by making advantage of the relevant literature, books, and articles, where the collected data were discussed, analyzed, and compared to conclude with more comprehensive results, and set a future conceptualization about the possibility of using this technique in the educational process. The study concludes that the world isn’t ready yet to implement the virtual augmented reality in the educational process completely, where implementing it in some centralized countries will result in a gap in the educational process, especially in the third-world countries. The study recommended adopting Metaverse technique as a part of the educational process, without replacing it totally.
