Hanau/Main: Topography of Immigration, Taboo, and Terror, and Lieu de Mémoire
摘要
Until February 2020, Hanau at the River Main was just a small town in close proximity to the global financial capital of Frankfurt, rather unnoticed in the shadow. This changed when the terror attack of 19 February 2020, suddenly put Hanau on the map. In the space of a few hours, a male, white, right-wing extremist shooter deliberately killed nine people, in central Hanau and the nearby quarter of Kesselstadt, and then returned home and shot his mother and himself later that night.
