Evolution of Nursing Practice Roles

Preventive cardiovascular nursing offers unique opportunities for nurses in various practice roles. In this chapter, the historical development of nursing and advanced practice nursing is examined to better understand current challenges and benefits of preventive cardiovascular nursing practice.
