Frequency Reconfigurable Origami Antennas

摘要

The demands for wireless communication have increased exponentially over the past few decades, and this trend is expected to continue in the future. As the number of wireless devices continues to grow, the need for frequency agile and reconfigurable antennas is becoming increasingly important. Traditional antennas are designed to operate at a fixed frequency, which can limit their usefulness in applications where the frequency spectrum is crowded or changing. Reconfigurable antennas offer a solution to this problem by allowing the operating frequency to be adjusted in real time. In this chapter, we explore the use of origami technology to create frequency-reconfigurable antennas. Specifically, we will focus on the use of origami magic cube geometry and DNA-inspired geometry to design antennas with reconfigurable frequency characteristics. By using these innovative techniques, antennas can be easily retuned to operate at different frequencies, making them suitable for modern communication systems.
