XR Theater: An Experience
摘要
Live theatrical performances constitutes an evolving art form that, since its earliest performances, has made extensive use of techniques and stage effects in search of effective ways to connect and engage audiences. Extended reality (XR) fits well into this search by multiplying the creative and expressive potential of performers and allowing interesting forms of interaction between them and the audience. This is the context of the RASTA project for the promotion of cultural heritage and the development of tourism in Italy, which includes, among other actions, the realization of extended reality theater performances in Apulia. This article reports the preliminary results of the requirements definition phase of the software system proposed by RASTA for the creation and staging of the extended reality theater productions envisaged by the project.
